MCA ALUMNI TALK ON 28TH AUGUST, 2018

SRIMCA has organized expert talk for 5th semester MCA.

Ms. Hiral Goyani and Mr. Atman Kakadiya, both are alumni students of MCA from SRIMCA Post- Graduated during the year 2018. Ms. Hiral is working as PHP developer at NatRix Software. She had demonstrated various plug-ins inbuilt as well as custom plug-ins in Wordpress. She also discuss about her learning at industry with various frameworks. Mr. Atman started his journey in industry as an entrepreneur. He is owner of the company Settings Infotech. He also included in his talk about imitative towards learning for betterment of society. The company is involved with various outsourcing projects using latest frameworks.

The session was interactive and informative.

MCA ALUMNI TALK ON 07TH JULY, 2018

SRIMCA has organized expert talk for 5th semester MCA

Mr. Jainam Shah and Mr. Pritesh Patel, both are alumni students of MCA from SRIMCA PostGraduated during the year 2010. They are currently working as Team Leader and Web Designer at BosLeo Technology. Both of them spoke about the positive attitude towards learning to obtain greatest opportunity to flourish. Consistency is the key to success. The relationship between attitudes, perceptions, and learning is complex. Making sense of what an education means to you and understanding what motivates you in learning involve assessing your preferences and making choices. As your choices are influenced by your attitude towards learning, it is therefore important to adopt a positive attitude to enable you to stay motivated towards your studies and respond favorably to your learning experiences. The rapid technological growth requires positive learning skills towards that innovative tools or technologies. This leads to successful innovative approach in software development.

Just like motivation, a positive learning attitude is difficult to develop and maintain. However, it is possible if you commit yourself to thinking and acting positively..

The session was interactive and informative.

SRIMCA signed MoU with NTA

MHRD has set up "National Testing Agency" (NTA), a premier testing organization, to conduct computer based entrance examinations, for higher educational institutions. SRIMCA has registered as "Test Practice Centre" (TPC) by signing MoU with NTA which is effective from 1st September, 2018.

RDBMS Day celebration at SRIMCA, 21st Aug 2018.

E.F.Codd was a computer scientist who invented the relational model which is the theoretical base of relational database management systems. To honour his contribution in computer science domain, RDBMS Day was celebrated in BCA and Integrated MCA (1st) semester.

Students had participated enthusiastically wherein they had created posters on different themes covering DBMS, RDBMS concepts and E.F. Codd's brief biography. Students shared their understanding regarding RDBMS concepts and thus knowledge sharing was carried out.

The event was celebrated by 50+ students and was ended with token of appreciation to all poster presenters.

SRIMCA celebrates Independence Day on 14th August, 2018.

Cultural Committee of SRIMCA organized Independence Day Celebration on 14th August 2018. The event was prearranged to enjoy and celebrate the national festival to highlight the spirit of patriotism among the students and to showcase their ideas, thoughts and creativity on the patriotism theme. Faculties, staff and students got together and paid gratitude to the great freedom fighters instrumental in giving an Indian the right and experience freedom. Students represented different states of India whereby they performed acts related to the British rule, historical stories related to freedom fighters. Students were judged for their creativity by an esteem panel of judges comprising of Ms. Puja Sharma and Mr. Vivek Fumakia for Undergraduate Programmes while Mr. Jitendra Upadhay and Ms. Jayshri Patil judged the Postgraduate Programmes. BCA/BCA(Honors)/IMCA 5th Semester and MCA 5th Semester Division-C and Integrated MCA 9th Semester students rocked the jingoism grounds. Students enjoyed a lot and shared their experiences by revealing that celebrations of these types create the feelings of responsibility towards the family, society and country.

On 13th July 2018, on campus interview was scheduled for MCA, Integrated B.Tech.(IT) and M.Sc. (IT) final year students. After clearing institute level exams (technical test, aptitude test) and industry level tests, finally 4 students of the TYMCA namely Sojitra Jasmin, Riddhi Dhaduk, Pramod Variya and Poonam Sharma are selected for their final academic project with Rs. 7000 as stipend and placements with package approximately Rs. 2,20,000 per annum.

Escrow Infotech providing game and application development software solutions. They are working on Android, iOS and Game Development, Graphic Designing. On 05th July 2018; interview was scheduled for MCA, B.Tech.(IT) and M.Sc. (IT) final year students. After clearing institute level exams (technical test, aptitude test), 24 students were shortlisted for pre-placement talk, 24 students appeared for technical MCQtest, 14 students were selected for technical practical round and finally 02 students of the final year Integrated M.C.A. and one student of the M.C.A. namely Prajwal Bhat, Shraddha Shahand ParthUmaraniyaare selected for their final academic project with Rs. 8,000 as stipend per month during their final semester internship and placement with minimum package approx. Rs. 2.1 lac per annum.

La Net Team Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd is an India based software outsourcing company that offers high quality and cost effective software development service to its clients. They strive for on time delivery of the projects and adhere to stringent quality standards. On 12th July, 2018, it arrived for the campus placement for MCA, B.Tech. (IT) and M.Sc. (IT) final year students. After clearing institute level exams (i.e. aptitude test/technical test), 33 students appeared in pre-placement talk, aptitude and technical test. After successfully clearing aptitude and technical test09 students were selected for HR and Personal Interview round, and finally 2 students of the T.Y M.C.AShahid Ansari and Amit Tailarwere selected for their final academic project with Rs. 5000 to 8000 as stipend and placement with package Rs. 1,80,000 to 3,00,000.

Gujarati text corpus development at SRIMCA is now contributed under TDIL : 17-07-2018

Technology Development for Indian Languages (TDIL) Programme initiated by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India has the objective to develop information-processing tools to facilitate human machine interaction in Indian languages and to develop technologies to access multilingual knowledge resources. Its one of the objective is development of Standards for linguistic resources, tools and applications for interoperability.

SRIMCA is proud for its contribution of "SRIMCA News Corpus" which shall be helpful to research scholars for lexical and morphological analysis. It is one of nine text corpus available on TDIL with respect to Gujarati language.

The corpus consists of more than 500 articles of Gujarati news covering the domain of business, sports, politics and crime. The corpus was developed by collaborative efforts of NLP researchers Dr. Jikitsha Sheth, Ms. Himadri Patel, Ms. Chetana Tailor, Mr. Pinkesh Patel and Ms. Priti Prajapati under the visionary guidance of Dr. Bankim Patel.
