Sports Days Celebration AT SRIMCA From 27th to 30th January, 2018

A Live session "Pariksha Pe Charcha - PM's Interactive Session with Students", 16th FEB, 2018.

SRIMCA organized a live streaming session of "Pariksha Pe Charcha" by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, held on 16th February, 2018 with students nation wide on subjects related to examinations. More then 250 students of MCA, BCA, Integrated MCA have attended the same. He took questions from students at the event venue in Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi. Students also asked him questions through various television news channels, the Narendra Modi Mobile App, and the MyGov platform.

Beginning the conversation, the Prime Minister said that he had come to the Town Hall session as a friend of the students, and their parents and family. He said that he was speaking to as many as 10 crore people across the country, through various platforms. He acknowledged his own teachers, who had instilled in him the values that enable him to keep the student in him alive till today. He exhorted everyone to keep the student alive in them. In the course of the event which lasted about two hours, the Prime Minister took questions on a range of subjects, including nervousness, anxiety, concentration, peer pressure, parents' expectations, and the role of teachers. His answers were embellished with wit, humour and a number of different illustrative examples.

He quoted Swami Vivekananda to invoke the importance of self-confidence, to deal with examination stress and anxiety. He gave the example of the Canadian snowboarder Mark McMorris, who won a bronze medal in the ongoing Winter Olympic Games, just eleven months after suffering a life threatening injury.

On the subject of concentration, the Prime Minister recalled the great cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's advice on the radio programme Mann Ki Baat. Tendulkar had said that he only focuses on the ball that he is playing at present, and does not worry about the past or future. The Prime Minister also said that Yoga can help in improving concentration. On the subject of peer pressure, the Prime Minister spoke of the importance of "Anuspardha" (competing with oneself), rather than "Pratispardha" (competing with others). He said one should only try to do better than what one had achieved earlier.

Noting that every parent sacrifices for his or her child, the Prime Minister urged parents not to make the achievements of their child a matter of social prestige. He said every child is blessed with unique talents. The Prime Minister explained the significance of both the Intellectual Quotient, and the Emotional Quotient, in the life of a student. On time management, the Prime Minister said that for students, one time-table or a schedule cannot be appropriate for the full year. It is essential to be flexible and make best use of one's time, he added.

SRIMCA STUDENT ROCKS AT MINAXI LALIT SCIENCE AWARD TEST - 2017, 17th SEPTEMBER, 2017.

Gujarat Science Academy, Ahmedabad has conduct Minaxi Lalit Science Award test on 17th September, 2017. The Gujarat Science Academy has received generous donations from HIRAN Charitable Trust to conduct Minaxi Lalit Science Award Test in thirteen subjects at different Universities in Gujarat. From different institutes students have participated in that test. It is proud feeling moment that two of our MCA students Parth Patel got 1st rank and Naresh Rana got 2nd rank. Students of SRIMCA have proved themselves and without their efforts the achievement is not possible. They have tried hard for the test. Mr. Parth Patel has received prize money of 1000 Rs. With 1st rank and Mr. Naresh Rana has received prize money of 500 Rs. with 2nd rank in computer science subject. It is an inspiration for other students to participate and get this type of achievement in future events.

ALUMNI MEET ON 11TH NOVEMBER 2017

It's a great opportunity to interact with your batch-mates and relish & refresh your past memories. With this objective, Alumni Association of SRIMCA organized alumni meet for 2016 batch on 11th November, 2017. Mr.Pinkesh Patel(Head of Alumni Association) welcomed alumni with his compassionate words and mentioned the object of holding annual alumni meet for the advancement of our institute. He explained the significance of alumni reunion for the growth of the institution and the individuals. The occasion was graced by presence of Dr. Bankim Patel(Director of SRIMCA). He motivated and encouraged students by sharing small story. Ms.Unnati Shah and Ms. Hinal Shah were interacted with Alumni members and motivated them regarding their career. Total 35+ alumni members attended the meet. The aims of gathering Alumni on single platform turned out beautifully and were able to interact with them, current trends in industry, suggestions and reveal our expectations from them. In response, few of the alumni shared their experience as well as interesting moments of campus life to the others.The meet was stimulating and enjoyable and simultaneously profitable as all members shared their views ideate and good numbers of new ideas, information and insights came up. Also a great networking is created between all by this. Alumni members also thanks SRIMCA for providing vast knowledge and acumen in subjects.A delicious snack was served for all the alumni members at the end of alumni reunion.

Cultural Committee, SRIMCA Organized Fresher Party Radiance 2017 on 4th October 2017.

On 4th October 2017, Cultural Committee, SRIMCA had organized Fresher Party named Radiance 2017. The party is organized to enjoy and welcome the new batch of 2017 students and showcase their talent too by participating in events. The program starts with the speech of student General Secretary Neel Patel through short documentary refreshing the till now journey of fresher student in our institute and best wishes for the future career life. Party was on theme "Vividhata Ma Ekta" and students have attire in traditional clothes came close to our Indian traditions.

The Fresher Party performed by the student's exhibit their hidden talent. They need an outlet to showcase their potential and creativity. The students of today are not shy as they are exposed to the environment. However, they need mentoring and proper direction to channelize their potential. The various activities performed on the occasion include group dancing, solo singing, duet singing, drama and solo singing. The students anchor different segments of the function with a view to work independently. The audience comprising students, faculty, staff, etc., enjoy every item of the programme with a great fun. Especially students are seen highly jubilant and appreciate the performances of their fellow students by putting their hands together.

Event end with the prize distribution of "Swachh Pakwadda" winner announcement and representative students from all division of TYMCA has given best wishes for the future to all the freshers. Last but not least winner declarations of best dressing according to theme from boys are Jesvin C Ommen from TYIntegrated MCA, Ganpat Kalal from SYMCA and from girls Havabibi Ibrahim Mangera and Nirupaben Ghelani from TYMCA.

The event was a huge success for all of us, and it was not possible without the cooperation of each and every faculty member as well as students of SRIMCA.

SRIMCA has organized expert talk for 5th semester MCA.

Mr. Ashish Shah is alumni student of MCA from SRIMCA Post-Graduated during the year 2010. He is currently working as Team Leader at Trimantra Software Solutions LLP. He is working on PHP frameworks. He spoke about the consistent approach can get the right person in the right position, help predict future job performance and give the new employee the greatest opportunity to flourish. Consistency is the key to success. It is easy to be inconsistent and much harder to be consistent. To be consistent means to fully dedicate you in completely to a task, activity or goal. It means to fully stay engaged without distraction. To be consistent requires a commitment on your part. It requires that you commit yourself to a sustained effort of action over the long-term. Consistency is about building small empowering habits and rituals that you partake in every single day that keep you focused on your highest priorities and goals. It therefore essentially comes down to your ability to hold yourself accountable for the daily choices you make with no excuses and no complaints. Attitude is the key to success because it can push you forward or slow you down. It all starts with how you view yourself in a specific environment. Is there a right attitude recipe for success? Right attitude means knowing what you are capable of accomplishing. Ambition, determination, and commitment fuel the right attitude, also known as a positive attitude or go-getter attitude.

Two-day workshop on Open-source front-end web application framework: Bootstrap and Angular by MCA Alumni, 5th July 2017 and 6th July 2017

SRIMCA has organized two-day workshop on Open-source front-end web application framework: Bootstrap and Angular for 150+students from 5th semester MCA and 7th semester IMCA.

Mr. Dhruv Chauhan is alumni student of MCA from SRIMCA Post-Graduated during the year 2007. He is currently working as senior Web Designer at Tata Consultancy Services. He has designed more than 50 professional websites and more than 1000 UI designs. He has worked as Graphic designer, User Interface designer, Logo designer and Website designer in different companies. He spoke about the most enjoyable experiences during the three years of college including the curricular. Co-curricular activities and the final year project. He then described his experiences of previous companies. He started his career as web application developer and moved towards professional designer. He discussed various opportunities available in the market in the field of Information Technology. He disclosed many types of jobs as designer and available vacancies with package in the current market scenario. After he started the topic that is "Bootstrap". Bootstrap is most popular HTML, CSS, and JS framework for developing responsive, mobile first projects on the web.He briefly described usage, advantages, components and customization in Bootstrap.In the rigorous interaction with students, he gave many tips regarding cracking the interview, working pattern, health issues and tips to maintain health during their professional career.

Second session that is on "Angular" was given by MCA alumni student Vikram Sisodiya. He is Post-Graduated with MCA from SRIMCA during the year 2012. He is Director of Natrix Software Private Limited, Surat. He covered the theory concepts of Angular and advantages of Angular. Senior developer from Natrix Software Private Limited,Mr. Laxman Prajapati has also discussed how Angular can be applied in different web applications. Session was followed by practical hands-on. Later they assigned task to students as an assignment. Our 5 students completed assignment within given time duration. Company has awarded those five students with certificates.

On both days, sessions were interactive and informative.

After clearing institute level exams (technical test, aptitude test), 33 students were shortlisted for pre-placement talk, 29 students were appeared for technical online test. 05 students were selected for personal technical interview and finally 03 students of the T.Y M.C.A. namely Minal Joshi, Firdosh Memon and AzimuddinKazi are selected for their final academic project with Rs. 4,000 as stipend per month during their final semester internship and placement with minimum package approx. Rs. 1.8 lac per annum.

Uffizio India has focused on harnessing new technologies for developing commercial applications. With the purpose of its own staffing requirement Uffizio India came up with the training program. On 27th July 2017; interview scheduled for MCA, B.Tech.(IT) and M.Sc. (IT) final year students. After clearing institute level exams (technical test, aptitude test), 37 students were shortlisted for pre-placement talk, 36 students were appeared for technical online test. They strive for on time delivery of the projects and adhere to stringent quality standards. On 22nd July, 2017, it arrived for the campus placement for MCA, B.Tech. (IT) and M.Sc. (IT) final year students. After clearing institute level exams (i.e. aptitude test), 46 students appeared in the online aptitude test. After successfully clearing aptitude test 20 students were shortlisted for technical test conducted by the company, 9 students were selected for HR, and finally 7 students of the T.Y M.C.A Hardik Patel, Mohini Patel, Hemin Patel, Shubham Joshi, Ankita Kuchhadiya, Arjun Dobaria and Shubham Maurya were selected for their final academic project with Rs. 5000 to 8000 as stipend and placement with package Rs. 1,80,000 to 2,50,000.

Industry Institute Relationship Cell (Placement Cell),SRIMCA (Computer Science) has organized an expert session on "TechnologyLandscape and Professional Opportunities for Bright Career" for TYMCA and TYMScITstudents from our alumni members and employeesof La Net Team Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd on July 15, 2017 at Shrimad Hall.

They covered the points on recent market technologies and its usage. They also have emphases on the technology landscape under which they shown the reality between the students knowledge and the industry requirement. Ms. Megha Shah discussed about how technologies have changed in last decade and which are the technology and techniques replaces old traditional concepts like passport validation, react JS, Native react that is used to build native mobile apps using JavaScript and React.Session was quite interactive and the day was fruitful.

The interactive and informative session was attended by 200+ students of TYMCA, TYMscIT.

Expert Session on Machine Learning, 12th July, 2017

An expert session on "Machine Learning and Chatbots" was attended by more than 140 students of MCA 5th semester and Integrated MCA 7th semester. The session was arranged by Babu Madhav Institute of Information Technology on 12th July, 2017. The expert of the session was Mr. Chitrang Thakkar, Software Developer, New Zealand. He has talked about the concepts of Machine Learning with Microsoft Azure, and he has also demonstrated the working of Chatbots. During the session the expert has share his experiences and motivated students to learn about new technologies. The session was ended with question answer session and with learning.

Technical Workshop Week: Advanced Standardized Website Appearance in ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC and PHP. 4th July, 2017.

On the second day of Technical Workshop Week, session was arranged on Advance Standardized website appearance. The agenda of this session was to polish designing skills on template integration, dynamic image gallery and responsive template with different Frameworks and technologies. The session has started with introduction on types of templates and how it can be integrated in ASP.NET with practical demonstration by Mr. Pinkesh Patel. Post lunch session was overtook by Mr. Vivek Fumakia, he has discussed about MVC framework pattern in .NET and template integration in ASP.NET MVC with practical demonstration. He has also discussed on how web page content can be made responsive. Later the session was overtaken by Ms. Himadri Patel, she has talked about integration of template in PHP, creation of dynamic image gallery and responsive templates. The practical demonstration has increased students' learning interest of technologies and framework.

Technical Week: Web Designing Languages, 3rd July, 2017

SRIMCA organized a seminar on Designing with the agenda to polish the designing skills of final year students of MCA. More than 120 students of MCA final year including Integrated MCA 4th year has participated. The session has started with the advanced concepts of HTML, CSS and JavaScript by Ms. Divya Dholiya and Ms. Unnati Shah. Later the session was overtook by Mr. Hiren Patel, he has discussed about the advanced features of HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery. Practical demonstration has increased the interest of students for the latest technologies. A practical laboratory session was also arranged for the hands-on, a list of exercise was given to students to practice on HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery designing technologies. The session was quite interactive and the day was fruitful.
