SRIMCA believes in act of kindness and put efforts to help the needy in whatever possible way. Students and faculties of SRIMCA hadshown the same enthusiasm once again by providing financial support to the needy SRIMCA students for paying educational fees. Total 27 faculties and 161 students from various courses and semesters had shown their support.
The NCAT is designed to sensitize the students to the domain of creative thinking and motivate them to read, learn and practice the same. The NCAT will assess the creativity quotient of a student and his/her level of achievement motivation. By participating in this Test, the student shall get sensitized to the importance of these factors and their role in shaping one's future. This Olympiad is designed to assess a child's creative abilities and his/her achievement motivation. The Olympiad will unearth hidden talents and encourage children who may have felt discouraged, to participate in the learning process more willingly and meaningfully with a renewed sense of self-belief and self-confidence.
First round was held on 27th February, 2016 whereby 107 students has registered and appeared in category 1, 2 and 4 respectively. 5 students Mr. Dhaivat Joshi(category=1), Mr. Milan Bhakta(category=2), Mr. Vivek Vaidya(category=2), Mr. Dhruv Chandrani(category=4), and Mr. Pintu Soliya(category=4) were qualified to appear in 2nd round which has held at Delhi on 12th June, 2016. A student from MCA 4th semester Mr. Dhruv Chandrani has participated in 2nd round for 4th category and performed good. He has secured All India rank 21. Nikisha Jariwala is pursuing Ph.D. (Computer Science) at Shrimad Rajchandra Institute of Management and Computer Application, UTU. A sub-part of her research work based on "Transliteration of Gujarat Text into Braille - an aid for Visually Impaired Patients" has received Trend Setter Award for the Innovative Means. The award was honored on the occasion of Sixth Foundation Day and Fifth Igniting Innovation Award Ceremony by Gujarat Innovation Society on 15th April 2016.
The work aims to develop a tool through which Gujarati literature will reach to the blind people in the form of documents. This shall be a support system for visually impaired people of Gujarat to increase their knowledge and stay in touch with current trends. The work also bears societal benefit through which government bodies, educational institutes, learning centers like libraries, etc. shall be able to generate Braille documents and audio files for Educational contents, story books, and news, etc. in Gujarati text.
As a fragment of collaboration with IIT Bombay, we at SRIMCA organized spoken tutorial workshop on Java, C and CPP, Python, PHP and MySQL for students of different programme such as 5 Years Integrated MCA (2nd and 4th semester), BCA(4th semester) and MCA(4th semester) in the sessions of content beyond syllabus. After the completion of course, students appeared for online certification tests. We are glad to announce performance of students. Summary of result is stated below:

The Shrimad Rajchandra Institute of Management and Computer Application on 23rd March 2016 celebrated its magnificent and reverberating Annual Day entitled as "BLISS 2016". The theme was befitted with the thought to express Blessed Loved Inspired at Splendid Srimca.
The celebrations were initiated with the UTU song with feeling of inspiration and togetherness. The event was graced with the presence of our Hon. Provost Dr.D.R.Shah, Shri BhaguBhai Patel (President, BPKM) and other dignitaries, whom first of all was given the floral welcome. Then they were invited to the stage to light the lamp of knowledge.
Event Co-ordinator Ms.Bhumika Desai express the thought that has been initiated the annual function with theme of Humanity, documentary prepared by student namely Retul Lakhani and Viral Patel has shown the small step of SRIMCA towards humanity which can be taken as an inspiration and way to being human feeling of selfless and responsibility towards society.
After a brief overview of the activities perform in curricular and co-curricular and extra activities and the achievements of the student in different field like technical competition in other institute and paper presented in journal. Over 15 toppers from BCA, Int.MCA and MCA in academic performance were awarded to the meritorious students for their commendable performance during the academic year 2014-15.The list of semester topper of academic year 2014-15 is given in below link who was awarded with the trophy.
The Best student awarded in three programmes BCA, MCA and MSc. (C.A) according to their overall performance in curricular and co-curricular and extra activities & achievements. The student Neel Patel was awarded as BEST Student in BCA, Prachi Bhandari was awarded as BEST Student in MCA and Priyanka Ghetiya was awarded as BEST Student in MSc.(C.A).
The annual day performed by the student's exhibit their hidden talent. The various activities performed on the occasion include solo dance, solo singing, group drama and fashion show. The students anchor different segments of the function with a view to work independently. The General Secretary has shown video as a tribute all Super Seniors for their farewell and student from TYMCA Prachi Bhandari share her experience and her feeling regarding her six years of journey in SRIMCA and motivate student to move with positivity towards their career.
The audience comprising students, faculty, staff, non-teaching staff etc., enjoy every item of the programme with a great fun. Especially students are seen highly jubilant and appreciate the performances of their fellow students by putting their hands together. The event was a huge success for all of us, and it was not possible without the cooperation of each and every faculty member as well as students of SRIMCA.
We are happy to announce successful completion of sports day celebrated at SRIMCA,UTU. The main objective behind the sports day celebration was to provide an environment for physical developments of the students, to provide opportunity to the students to showcase their talents in the sport field and to develop sportsman spirit among them. The sports day celebration was from 8/2/2016 to 10/2/2016. Various outdoor sports for strength building of students were played that include Cricket, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Tug of War, Kho- Kho and Basketball. With great enthusiasm various indoor games such as Carom, Chess, Table Tennis and Badminton were played in individual and double to develop sportsman spirit among the students. For refreshment games like musical chair and Lemon Spoon were played where children enjoyed the most. All faculty and students participate with full energy and enjoyed three days full on.

A session on IBM BlueMix was organized at SRIMCA on 15th February, 2016. The session was delivered by Mr. Anil Patra speaker from IBM, more then 300 4th semester students of MCA, BCA and Integrated MCA has attended the same.
IBM Bluemix is a cloud platform as a service (PaaS) developed by IBM. It supports several programming languages and services as well as integrated DevOps to build, run, deploy and manage applications on the cloud. Bluemix is based on Cloud Foundry open technology and runs on SoftLayer infrastructure. Bluemix supports several programming languages including Java, Node.js, Go,PHP, Python, Ruby Sinatra, Ruby on Rails and can be extended to support other languages such as Scala through the use of buildpacks.
During the session the basic information about the cloud was explained by the speaker, later he has bring light over the IBM Bluemix and the session was concluded with the information about IBM TGMC contest.
A session on "Career Guidance and Motivation" and "Professional Etiquette" were organized for MCA 4th semester students on 6th February, 2016. More then 250 students were attended the session which was conducted by Ms. Puja Sharma and Mr. Hiren Patel faculty member of SRIMCA.
As we say nothing succeeds like success, and career guidance is very essential for success. If you want to see your career moving in a right direction then career guidance is of utmost importance. If you have a pre-planned guidance for your career then it can make a lot of difference. Today, awareness about career guidance is still very low among younger generation, so its necessary to make student aware with their career scope. The various job types available in market for MCA students were discussed by Ms. Puja Sharma.
Etiquette in simpler words is defined as good behavior which distinguishes human beings from animals. Etiquette enables the individuals to earn respect and appreciation in the society as well as at professional environment. Etiquette inculcates a feeling of trust and loyalty in the individuals. One becomes more responsible and mature. Etiquette helps individuals to value relationships. Etiquette for Email, Office, Social and many others were discussed by Mr. Hiren Patel.

Symbolizing Incredible India organized by Cultural Committee of SRIMCA on 23rd January 2016. The occasion is organized to enjoy and celebrate the national festival which highlights the spirit of patriotism among the students as well as enhance the innovative and creative mind of students. The celebration creates the feelings of responsibility towards the family, society and country. The celebration goal was to show how India conjures up vivid images of rich culture, classical dance forms, colorful festivals, breathtaking art and exquisite cuisine to name a few and how it has been growth in different filed from the ancient era .
Celebration consisted of the competition having three ways to demonstrate the theme "Symbolizing Incredible India" by model making, painting and Collage making. From each class one team of 10 member has done registration and participate to exposed their idea and thought regarding Incredible India. He has focused his research on Soft Computing based Intelligent Intrusion Detection Algorithm Development for Reduction of False Positive Rate for the Network Security domain. He has completed his PhD under the guidance of Dr. Paresh Virpariya, Professor & Director G. H. Patel department of Computer Science, Sardar Patel University. He has 2 years of industry experience and 13 years of teaching experience, apart from teaching he manages the whole network of UTU as Network Administrator.

SRIMCA celebrated an IT inter-class competition TechIT-2015 on 11th September, 2016. Students has participated in various events such as AssembleIT, MakeIT, PresentIT, DesignIT, PlayIT, and TreasureIT with lots of enthusiasm and motivation.
The aim of AssembleIT event is to allow the candidate to demonstrate their technical competence in assembling a personal desktop computer (PC) using the components and soft ware provided. The event was coordinated by Ms. Poonam Yadav and Ms. Trupti Rathod.
DesignIT event is aimed to showcase technical skill of website designing of candidate using HTML, CSS, JQuery & JavaScript. The event was coordinated by Ms. Khushbu Patel & Ms. Mitali Desai.
MakeIT with an aim to give contestants an opportunity to demonstrate their skill in building a technical model on the theme "Information and Communication Technology" and also aim of this task assignment is to evaluate the level of technical knowledge and professional skills of the contestants. On 4th September 2015, Cultural Committee of Computer Science, SRIMCA had organized Teacher Day and Janmashtmi Celebration. The occasion is organized to enjoy and celebrate the Teacher Day and Janmashtmi Celebration which highlights the enjoyment among the students regarding Krishna Janm Mahotsav and important of teachers in our day to day life. The Janmashtmi celebration consisted of competition for events like Matki Decoration and Ras-Leela competition for all the computer science students.
In morning student has celebrated Teacher Day by attiring like teacher and handle all the responsibility that teacher followed in conducting lecture and lab while sharing their knowledge and solving student difficulty. Student has shown great response in conducting the lecture and lab smoothly. Some of the Student has created a Gokulam Village and all the child memory of Lord Krishna in the decoration of Janmashtmi.
After 1 PM Janmasthmi Celebration has been started by Ras Leela competition with great enthusiasm, joy and enjoyment of Ras music. Participant student were playing Dandiya Ras as Krishna and Radha and dancing on the floor of SRIMCA Dome with the mesmeric music of Garba.

The mission of Alumni Association is to inform, engage, inspire and maintain an enduring relationship between alumni and their alma mater.
With this concern, Alumni Association of SRIMCA organized Alumni meet for alumni of 2015 batch on 12th August, 2015. 55 students were present. Mr. Pinkesh Patel (Head of Alumni Association) initiated event with an inspiring speech about importance of alumni and alumni association. The event was graced with the presence of Dr.Bankim Patel (Director of SRIMCA) and Dr.Kalpesh Lad (Programme co-ordinator of SRIMCA)who sharedtheir views that the students could achieve successful career with clear vision, dedication, hard work, outstanding leadership and simply being better than the best in their profession. Both delivered motivational speech to alumni members, blessed them for their bright future and also provided an open platform to share their experience and to provide feedback for improvementin teaching methodology as well as education policy.
Alumni members had expressed their current job experience, status and had shared their academic experience as well. All the alumni expressed their happiness and appreciated the hospitality and respect which was bestowed on them by the Institute. They were satisfied with institutional environment and ensured that they will remain in contact and shall regularly keep the institute aware about job opportunities in various companies for their junior.Existing batch students were found interacting with their alumni and appreciated this get together which was instrumental for their career ahead. In all, the ambience was electric with people seen engaged in informal discussion in groups while having high-tea and refreshment.
SRIMCA organized seminar on "Artificial Intelligence" on 11th August, 2015 for the students of MCA - semester 3. 250+ students attended the session. Dr. Dilip Ahalpara delivered the talk, a former researcher in PLR and presently Professor & Director in Dharmsinh Desai Institute of Technology(DDIT), Nadiad. The objectives of the workshop were to give brief knowledge of Artificial Intelligence. The speaker enlightened the participants on fundamentals as well as applications of Artificial Intelligence like Evolutionary Computing, Genetic Programming, Algorithm and Game Playing. He also led the audience to think on human brain and artificial machine and briefed upon different research topics in Artificial Intelligence along with excellent examples and challenges. Traveling Salesman problem and Birds Searching for food grain example were discussed by him to give an outline.

The occasion is organized to enjoy and celebrate the Aluna Fasting festival which highlights the enjoyment among the students as well as enhance the innovative and creative mind of students. The celebration creates the feelings of responsibility towards the family, society and country. The celebration consisted of competition for events like Mehndi, Nail Art, on the spot Painting, Best out of Waste & Videography for all the computer science students.
After successful completion of events, several students were declared as winners for various competitions namely Suratwala Pinal from TYMCA, Div-B for Mehndi, Patel Darshana from TYMCA, Div-A for Nail Art, Mistry Rinal, Bhavsar Unnati, Patel Debavansi , Patel Namrata & Mehta Ravija from TYMCA, Div-A for Best Out of Waste, Jain Sonali from FYIntegratedMCA , Div-A for on the spot painting, Patel Snehal from TYMCA, Div-A for Videography.
The event was a huge success for Faculty of Computer Science, and it was not possible without the cooperation of each and every people involved in it.
Nobody can ever underestimate how important it is to have a good resume. First impression count, and the first impression that a potential employer will have of job seekers, is going to depend on how job seekers present their resume. Good communication skill is a key to success in life, work and relationships. Without effective communication, a message can turn into error, misunderstanding, frustration, or even disaster by being misinterpreted or poorly delivered.
With above objectives, SRIMCA jointly with Soft Skill Development club of UTU organized a workshop on "Effective Resume Writing and Enhancing Communication Skills" on 27th July, 2015. All the final year students of M.C.A., M.Sc. (CA) and B.C.A. approximately, 400 students took part in the event at J.D. Hall - CGPIT-Building.
During the first session of the workshop, Mr. Mulchand Sen made a presentation on the impact and the content of resume. In the last session again he explained the importance of Non Verbal Communication by game playing approach. During the second session of the workshop, Ms. Trishna Makwana explained the importance of Verbal Communication by using several games and presentation.

SRIMCA and ROTARY club of Bardoli has jointly organized blood donation camp on 24th July, 2015. 96 unit have been contributed by faculty and students of MCA, BCA, MScIT and MCA successfully donated to blood bank of Shri Sardar Smarak Hospital, Bardoli.q

The Orientation Programme was organized with the objective to assist the new students of Integrated MCA in making a successful academic, intellectual and social transitioning in to the SRIMCA environment. The facets of the orientation included knowing about the Campus, Institute, Senior and Alumni Students, rules and regulations, best practices and learning pedagogy. They were also made familiar to amenities like the Canteen, Hostels, Common Room, Computer Laboratory, Class Rooms and Language Lab.
