Machine learning and its applications have always been a protagonist for healthcare systems that encompasses patient data handling, health syndrome analytics, and development of new medical procedures with tailor made treatment of chronic diseases. The horizons of health care applications have outreach to educate patients on probable symptoms, and take proactive measures of precautions and treatments that have significantly reduced the cost of these services in recent times.
The workshop objectives are inclined to pace the demand of incubating and disseminating healthcare technology solutions in the wave of Atmanirbhar Bharat. The workshop is aligned to cover cores of Machine Learning, its applications for Healthcare Domain and Software Development Avenues and orients the budding IT graduates, research scholars and faculties seeking their career in this field for digital transformation.
Outcomes:
- Describe Machine Learning need and differentiate it with traditional programming.
- Describe the characteristics of health care data and apply pre-processing techniques on the data.
- Use supervised techniques for classification and prediction based on the features.
- Apply unsupervised techniques for clustering the data.

Dr. P.V.S.S.R. Chandra Mouli is the Head of Computer Science Department at Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur. He has secured research projects sponsored by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). His research area includes Image Processing, Object Recognition, Document Image Processing and Pattern Classification. He is a reviewer and editorial board member for various reputed international journals and conferences and has also published a book in domain of computer graphics. He is also a member of various professional bodies like IEEE, ISTE. .
Dr. Deepak Garg is the Director of leadingindia.ai, Professor and Chair, Computer Science Engineering, Bennett University and Director, NVIDIA-Bennett Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence. He has over 18 years of experience in the field of academia. His research interest lies in Deep Learning and Data Analytics. He has been an active member of steering committee of several international conferences. He has broad experience in automating and implementing the technology solution on a larger scale in education sector. He also has an extensive experience in designing curriculum, developing education pedagogy and managing industry-institute interaction.
Dr. T. Senthil Kumar currently serves as Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. His research interests include Video Analytics, Big Data Analytics, Intrusion Detection Systems. He has received appreciation in Indian Express for agent based programming for Banking Domain. He has published in nine National Conferences, 12 International Conference, 14 International Journal and ten Edited Book volumes. He has 22 scopus publications. He has published a Book on C++. He has membership in professional bodies like CSI, IETE.
Dr. Bankim Patel has been leading in academics from last 32 years. His area of research includes Natural Language Processing and Intelligent Systems. Under his able guidance, 14 candidates have received Ph. D. degree while 2 are M. Phil. holders in Computer Science and Applications. Presently he is guiding 4 Ph.D. research scholars. He has authored 75+ papers in international/ national reputed journals and 4 books so far. He has been invited as Session chair and expert in various national and international events. His work related to visually impaired persons is recognized by Gujarat Innovation Society. Few of his awards are Significant Contribution award from CSI, Indira Gandhi and Excellence award from International Business Council.
Dr. Jikitsha Sheth is currently working as an Asst. Professor at Shrimad Rajchandra Institute of Management and Computer Application, UTU. She has 15 years of teaching experience in Computer Science and Applications. Her research area includes Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. She has authored more than 20 research papers in national/international journals. She has contributed to a live project at Language Technologies Research Centre, IIIT-Hyderabad. She is an invited resource person for the text translation of NPTEL courses.
