Editorals

Dear Readers

It is indeed a great pleasure to put before your esteemed self the March, 2010 issue of SRIMCA's quarterly e-magazine - SRIJAN.

At the outset, we at the editorial team of SRIJAN express our deepest sense of gratitude towards all those who have made it possible for us to move from repeatedly requesting all for submitting something to be in a position to scrutinize and even regret to deny for this passion for creation - SRIJAN. So, we whole heartedly thank all the authors who spared their invaluable time and devoted their minds to contribute thought provoking stuff to make yet another issue of SRIJAN an enriching one.

Our editorial in the last issue of SRIJAN was very well received by the readers wherein we tried to explore the topic of "Desperately Seeking a Job in Desperate Times (the Post Global Meltdown)" with a tour of possibilities and experience the Post Interval or the Baki Picture in Bollywood King Khan - Shahrukh Khan's style in "Ohm Shanti Ohm", "Picture Abhi Baki Hai Mere Dost!"

This time, we would like to take a different approach itself. Instead of deliberating on a theme, we, the editorial team, would like to appreciate the immense intellectual talents of our esteemed readers and provide a theme that we expect them to comment, deliberate and ponder upon in the next issue. So, keeping with the self made commitment, we would like the readers to express their views / opinions / comments on the following outstanding anonymous quote -

"The Quality of an Organization can never exceed the quality of the minds that make it up".

Yes, friends, in today's highly turbulent, cut-to-throat competitive era, it's only the human factor that can offer a long-term competitive advantage to an organization. But, as we very well know, all theories do not translate well in practice. Ironically, in many organizations, this basic fact is ignored and efforts are focused on all other aspects except people.

So, we do expect blast of creative inputs on the aforesaid theme in the next issue. Till then, Good Bye and wishing a very inspiring and satisfying reading to all of you…

-The Srijan Editorial Team
