Blind Faith/Nasty Rituals/Black Magic/Cheap Thinking: All these terms make India a horrible place for humans. There are many such phases in India which follows the same "No-Girl Child" policy.

Lemon and Chilly Combo

Indian's think that lemon and chilies stitched with one another with a black thread or metal string help them get rid off black magic and odd sight.
In simple words if you are someone's enemy and if he uses the above lemon and chilly combo, nothing bad will happen to/with him.
But as I said above its India; everything is possible.

Cat's Crossing the Road - Beware!

In the above pic you can see 3 cats crossing the road. But if this had happened in India. An Indian would have stepped back 3 steps and then moved forward.
This is another example of Indian blind faith, Indian's think that when a cat (even if its just one) crosses a road or a street, then a human should not use that street until someone else who has not visually seen the cat uses it.
All the example's above are the outcome of uneducated Indian citizens who are far away from the 20th century and the factual growth of science and technology.
Above were just a few incident's i researched on, in actual there are millions of such goof's and nasty rituals in India.

Pandavas footprint in Panchgani

On the tableland in Panchgani, there are these markings which are supposed to be the footprints of the Pandavas when they were on exile. As seen in the photo and as prevalent in India, a plate has been kept and flowers strewn to make the place get some monetary offerings.
