Meditation

Meditation refers to the way, the method, path or process by which one is led from within, to a universal center of calm awareness and inspired intuition. Meditation is a practice that helps people achieve balance both mentally and physically as well as emotionally.

Meditation is considered a type of mind-body complementary medicine. Meditation produces a deep state of relaxation and a tranquil mind. During meditation, you focus your attention and eliminate the stream of jumbled thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing stress. This process results in enhanced physical and emotional well-being.

How To Meditate :

(1) Creating a Peaceful Atmosphere :

Creating a peaceful atmosphere is a critical and one of the most essential components of your meditation experience. (2) Prepare & Set Up Your Props :

Whilst you are creating your peaceful atmosphere, there may be certain "props" to help you meditate. It isn't required that you have any, but yoga mats or cushions are great seating arenas for meditation or you may simply sit on a dining chair or easy chair.
(3) Wear Comfortable And Easy Clothing :

When it comes to your meditation, leave the stilettos and the diamonds at home please! Strangely, many people even choose to meditate in the buff, as it provides less of a distraction by the everyday world.

Health benefits of meditation are:

  1. Reduces stress and tension.
  2. Helps reduce heart disease.
  3. Helps with weight loss.
  4. Reduces anxiety attacks as it lowers the levels of blood lactate.
  5. Builds self confidence.
  6. Increases serotonin which influences moods and behavior.
    • Low levels of serotonin are associated with depression, headaches and insomnia.
  7. Enhances energy, strength and vigor.

It is even used to treat depression, stress and anxiety. The deep rest that a person achieves through meditation can ride him or her of stress and enables that person to make better choices by allowing them to think more clearly.
