All the above teams gave their presentation in their respective State Location, and had to face the eminent panel members as well as the competing teams to battle their way to the top notch positions. Our team gave their presentation at Gandhinagar, in front of 3 Panelist [Mr. Devkant Agrawal - Manager - IBM Academic, Mr. Nirav - IBM Business Intellegence (Bangaluru), Mrs. Deepa, IBM Academic] and other 13 competing teams from all over Gujarat. The students represented their project and also had to face severe queries form panelist and competitors like - features of performance and evaluation system, user interface, AJAX implementation and many more. Mr. Nirav appreciated the best use of DB2 XML implementation as load balancing in the IT Enabled Academia System. The highlight of the project and the presentation were that the Team could incorporate even the unexpected features and functionalities, which even bogged the competitors. Ours RedApple team received appreciation on the spot from the entire panelist.
The results of all the presentation is now announced on 21st February 2009, and our RedApple team was crossed this benchmark for final phase of evaluation in this TGMC-2008 as Top 20 Teams. It is worth nothing here that, we are the only team in entire Gujarat to secure the position in Top 20 Teams.
RedApple Team Members are Affan Pathan, Jignasa Prajapati, Mohsin Mansur & Sharanya Naik. While RedApple TeamÄ‚Ë€â„Ës Project Guide was Mr. Lal Bihari Barik, Asst. Prof., SRIMCA - who contributed his Project work and interest area towards this TGMC-2008 challenge and gave his best Software Engineering, Project Management skills and Java Technologies implementation.
SRIMCA has also consistent record to win the competition. Last year, SRIMCA was also selected among the top 30 colleges out of the total 1998 colleges participated in The Great Mind Challenge Contest 2007 organized by IBM. The contest was participated by around 30,000 teams. SRIMCA had the honor to get its four teams selected among 90 colleges/Universities to reach the final round. The project entitled "Anganwadi Information Management and Impact Analysis System" developed by SYMCA secured fourth rank in TOP Five PROJECTS at the end of final round.
Throughout the project duration, there was kind support and guidance of SRIMCA staff members. Also the teamwork, unity and cooperation of SRIMCA students have proved to be the helping hand - which enabled the RedApple team to reach these heights.
