The Great Mind Challenge (TGMC) is organized by IBM every year. Under TGMC, projects are invited from across the country. Numerous students submit projects under the guidance of designated mentors. For the year 2010, the highest numbers of projects were sent under the guidance of Ms. Jignasa Prajapati. She had taken the initiative to encourage and guide the students to participate in TGMC 2010. Ms. Jignasa Prajapati has been identified as an Outstanding Faculty Member by IBM of 22 faculties from all over India.
The Outstanding Faculty Mentors recognition is TGMC's honor for faculty of various colleges and universities. SRIMCA takes pride and appreciates the efforts of Ms. Jignasa Prajapati.

Highest Number of IBM Blue Scholar Certified Students across India - A Milestone Crossed, - Date: 25th October,2010.
The IBM Software Center of Excellence of SRIMCA has received an envious recognition at the National Level with 37 students of the Institute certified as IBM Blue Scholar till May 2010. According to the IBM Academic Initiative Newsletter Volume 2 (May-August 2010), students from only nine colleges/universities of India are certified as IBM Blue Scholar. SRIMCA is not only one of them; but is now also having highest number of IBM Blue Scholar Certified Students across India.
IBM Blue Scholar is a program launched in 2010 to enable students to distinguish themselves from the crowd with a "Market-ready approach" coupled with "on-demand skills". They shall be the elite group; much in demand. IBM certified students are recognized by IBM business partners and customers as a valued skilled resource for placement. IBM certified students can post resume online at the Student Opportunity System. The probability that the student with the tag "IBM Blue Scholar" could be picked up by the best companies is high.
To become eligible for a Blue Scholar certificate, a student needs to be certified on any 2 IBM software products and should have submitted a project in "The Great Mind Challenge Contest".
In the year 2010 SRIMCA has organized four IBM Certification workshops: IBM Rational Application Developer [255], IBM DB2 Fundamentals [730], IBM Rational Functional Tester [842], and IBM Tivoli Directory Server [928]. Performance of SRIMCA was outstanding with an achievement of overall 87.78% result. In the year 2010, total 250 and 23 IBM certifications have been received by SRIMCA students and faculty members respectively.
IBM Tivoli Directory Server V6.1 [000-928] Examination Result- Date: 7th September,2010.
The certification examination on IBM Tivoli Directory Server V6.1 (000928) was conducted on 7th September 2010. Mr. ParmantapaDasgupta from IBM has acted as proctor of this examination. Total 75 Students and 5 faculty members appeared in the examination and all of them have successfully cleared it. This is one more excellent result SRIMCA has achieved as IBM CoE. Inauguration of IBM Center of Excellence at Shrimad Rajchandra Institute of Management and
Computer Application, Maliba Campus, Gopal Vidyanagar, Bardoli, Gujarat, 22nd DEC 2009
Since the day of inception itself, Shrimad Rajchandra institute of Management and Computer Application (SRIMCA) has been striving hard for the requisite knowledge, skills and attitude among the learners' fraternity. As part of this and continuous endeavor to provide world class education, SRIMCA is collaborating with leading industries. And on top of that is SRIMCA's proud association with IBM. SRIMCA has successfully accomplished more than 10 ventures as part of this. In as sociation with IBM, SRIMCA has organized 3 certification training programs with more than 50% success rate, 3 workshops with more than 100 participants in each, and secured rank in 3 national level software project development competitions. Finally on 22nd December 2009, IBM Academic Initiative and Shrimad Rajchandra institute of Management and Computer Application have join hands by signing memorandum of understanding and starting IBM Center of Excellence at SRIMCA.
In the inauguration ceremony patron shri Bhulabhai Patel, Shri Bhaktidada, Shri B. U. Patel, Shri Nalinbhai Vyas, and Shri Bhagubhai Patel was invited as guest. Mr. Parmantapa Dasgupta, Manager, Academic Initiative and Mr. Vikas Manoria, Technical Lead, Academic Initiative have represented IBM India Ltd. during the inauguration ceremony. IBM CoE is dedicated to Shri Narendra Ramanbhai Bhakta of "Shri G. H. Bhakta Memorial Foundation Trust", Mahuva. The IBM CoE is fully furnished air-conditioned audio visual conference hall with 30 latest computers with necessary software connected to Internet. Whole hearted efforts from Director Dr. Bankim Patel and Campus Director Dr. D. R. Shah have makes this dream come true. Patron Shri Bhulabhai Vanmalibhai Patel has inaugurated the IBM Center of Excellence by cutting the ribbon and following religious ceremony. The inauguration ceremony begins with prayer, one of the best practices of SRIMCA. During inauguration ceremony Shri B. U. Patel, Shri Nalinbhai Vyas, and Shri Bhagubhai Patel has given their blessings. Mr. Parmantapa Dasgupta, Manager, IBM Academic Initiative has discussed that across the India only few students are getting benefits of IBM CoE and SRIMCA students belongs to that group. He has appealed to get maximum benefits out of this collaboration. Mr. Dharmendra Bhatti, Assistant Professor, SRIMCA has proudly represented few success stories of SRIMCA in collaboration with IBM. Mr. Vikas Manoria, Technical Lead, IBM Academic Initiative has suggested how/where SRIMCA and IBM can work together.
It was also appreciated by one and all for providing such great opportunity to SRIMCA students. The inauguration ceremony was celebrated in presence of over 300 guest, staff, and students.
Achievement of IBM Certification By Mr. Lal Bihari Barik, 26th November, 2007
Mr. Lal Bihari Barik, Asst. Professor, SRIMCA, has been certified as SOA Associate by IBM. Out of 82 candidates only 7 candidates were able to clear this certification successfully and Mr. Barik was one of them. His commitment to expand his knowledge and expertise is an asset for SRIMCA.
